Amanda Ladymon is a mixed media artist, exhibiting around the southeast, as well as internationally. She was recently awarded a grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission, which is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, in support of her studio work and new small business, working with local arts organizations and art educational programming with underprivileged children.

Amanda is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina and Columbia College. She is very involved in the local Columbia Arts community in many different facets, mainly as the Exhibition & Event Coordinator for S & S Art Supply. Originally from Dallas, TX, Amanda received her MFA in studio arts from USC in 2009. She has received two studio assistantships to Penland’s summer workshops and one at Arrowmont School of Crafts. The local environment and ecosystems of the southeast are fascinating and surprising to a city girl, which fuels most of the research into biological forms. The work’s aesthetic formula is derived mostly from biomorphic abstraction. Amanda's artwork primarily is in drawing/painting, sculpture, and installation.
